Cumberland Visiting Ministry
Cumberland Visiting Ministry
The Visiting Ministry teams are Cumberland Presbyterian Church members that strongly believe the heart of our Christian fellowship is worshiping together, and that the spiritual nourishment and renewal we receive from coming together to praise God is the essence of the Christian faith. For many, coming to church is physically difficult or impossible, so the ministry was organized to help those members maintain their connection to the church community. Since its inception, the ministry has also included friends and relatives who are not members.
Two teams function as Cumberland Visiting Ministers to help maintain the connection for those who are homebound, recovering from illness or surgery, or who have the need for a personal visit. Our visits take us to private homes, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. We have provided help with doctors’ visits and planned luncheon outings and birthday parties in an effort to bring the church to those in need. Please feel free to join us……the blessings are never ending! You may notify the church office if you have a friend or neighbor you would like to receive a visit.
